As one of the most commonly used tools in the workplace, Octiv makes it easy for users to copy and paste content from Microsoft Word. This functionality translates and applies formatting elements found in Word, saving you time and ensuring consistency from one platform to the next. When you paste text from an outside source into a document, a “paste” modal will appear giving you an option to control the formatting of how the text will paste into your document. You can choose either of the following options: Keep Formatting, Remove Formatting, or Paste as Plain Text.

Formatting elements supported by this feature include, but are not limited to:

  • Headings
  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Underline
  • Strikethrough
  • Subscript
  • Superscript
  • Bullets
  • Numbering
  • Line spacing
  • Indent (Space or Tab key)
  • Hyperlinks
  • Images (You’ll be prompted to upload the file to fill a placeholder)

Note: Fonts copied from Word will display in Octiv with the applied Octiv theme.
