What is changing?

Octiv has determined to close the Insights beta program. On February 13, 2017 Octiv will be ending support for the Insights ad hoc reporting beta service for all accounts. After that date, the Insights (beta) tab will no longer be available, and any custom reports that have been saved or scheduled will no longer be able to be accessed.

Will there be an alternate reporting service available?

Octiv is committed to providing a flexible and intuitive way to report on all operational use and document performance across the enterprise. Look for updates to the Reporting tab in our Winter ‘17 Release.

Why is the Insights (beta) program closing?

The decision to retire the current implementation of Insights took into account product demand, use cases, impact of discontinuation, and more importantly customer’s feedback. The learnings from the beta program made it clear that we need to take another direction with the underlying technology service we chose and the user experience that our customers require. We learned that while customers saw the capabilities the ad-hoc reporting tool provided, they were also not able or interested in learning the complex interface to generate the reports they needed. We learned that the technology we chose wasn’t as flexible as it needed to be to provide the best Octiv experience we will be retooling the approach and retiring the ad-hoc report builder interface.

What actions do I need to take?

For those customers who leveraged the ad hoc reporting interface for custom reports, please contact your account manager and we’ll ensure we provide access to your requested data in the meantime.

When will customers be notified?

Octiv administrators will be notified on December 7, 2016 via email and through an in-application announcement.

What happens to customers who are using Insights?

On February 13, 2017 we will be removing access to the Insights (beta) reporting service for all accounts. After that date, the Insights (beta) tab, saved reports, and scheduled reports will no longer be available. For those customers who leveraged the ad hoc reporting interface for custom reports, please contact your account manager and we’ll ensure we provide access to your requested data in the meantime.

What are the key milestone dates?

December 7, 2016 End of Life End of Life is the date when Octiv announces product discontinuation until the last date that the product is formally supported by Octiv.
February 13, 2017 End of Support The last day the product is supported.
