After you’ve connected your Salesforce org to Octiv, you’ll want a way to create Octiv proposals, presentations or contracts from within Salesforce. This can be accomplished by adding Octiv buttons to your Salesforce Objects.
In the steps below we’ll use the Opportunity Object as an example, but these instructions apply to all standard Salesforce Objects: Opportunity, Lead, Account, Case, or Contact.
Follow these steps to add Octiv buttons to the Salesforce Opportunity Object (Note: Only a Salesforce Administrator can take this action):
- Navigate to any Opportunity Record within Salesforce and click Edit Layout
- Click the Buttons option on the left side of the Opportunity Layout menu
- Drag the desired Octiv button to the Opportunity Detail section: New Presentation, New Proposal, New Contract, or New Document. Note that the New Document button will allow you to choose a template of any document type (Presentation/Proposal/Contract)
- Click Save
