Octiv’s conditional content lets you write logic without code. The point-and-click tools enable you to easily add conditional logic to paragraphs of text without having to futz with syntax. If an opportunity includes a particular product, for example, you want to show information about that product. Otherwise, you want to hide that content.

Follow these steps:

In a template, put your cursor where you want to include a conditional content block. Select Insert > Conditional Content. The Content Block is inserted where your cursor is positioned.

Note: If you highlight text before inserting a Content Block, you will overwrite that text with the newly inserted Content Block.

Conditional Content

Enter the text you wish to apply logic to, and click the gear icon in the top right. A pop-up window appears to guide you through inserting the logic you want. “Show Advanced” allows you to create a more flexible conditional statement.

Conditional Content

Add a content block, within a content block, by clicking your mouse where you want the block to be added and selecting Insert > Conditional Content. So clicking Insert > Create Content here:

Conditional Content

Creates this:

Conditional Content

Note it breaks up the paragraph.

Note: Conditional Content is only available for Octiv Proposals and Contracts. It is not yet available for Octiv Presentations.*
