When creating new documents, you can upload a file from Microsoft Word to quickly replicate content in Octiv.
Note: Not all design/formatting elements are able to be consistently translated from Word to HTML. Some additional editing may be required.
- On the Dashboard or the Document list, click the Create button.
- Select Proposal or Contract. The Create a Document modal appears.
- Click Choose Files. The File Explorer appears.
- Select the desired Word file. The file must have a .docx file extension.
Once the file is selected, an Octiv document will be generated based on the file’s text, table and image content. Individual pages will be added to the Table of Contents based on page breaks found in the Word file. Page titles will be created based on page headings or the first 100 characters of paragraph text.
