Specify a page to be print only

You can customize PDF output in Octiv so that you hide content in the online document view and display it in the print view—or vice versa. Template administrators no longer have to go into the source code to set these page settings. With the Spring '17 Release we now offer a simple way specify which pages will only show up when the document is downloaded as a PDF or Microsoft Word file, but not in the online Octiv Document.

Modern Document Size

In an effort to switch to a wider, more modern document size of 816px, we now offer administrators the option to switch to the new document size. This new document size is the standard size that you would see when you open up a Microsoft Word or Google Doc. The classic version of the Octiv document was set at 700px which made it difficult to ensure that the PDF output accurately reflected what was on the web view. By switching to the new document size you can ensure that your documents look the same whether they are being viewed online or viewed as a PDF or Microsoft Word document.

Repeatable Pages

Octiv has the ability to create a page or section for each child record on a launching object. For example, if launching off of an Opportunity in Salesforce, users can make a page or section repeatable so that a generated document has a new page or section for each product on the Opportunity. This is very similar to how Octiv creates auto-generated tables to display the products on an Opportunity, but this feature instead creates a page for each product instead of a row in a table.
