About the Release
As part of the Octiv Fall ’16 Release we plan to deliver the following updates and enhancements to customers. Please review the Release Notes and Release Resources for more information.
Please note: These release notes do not contain bug fixes.
Rollout Details
Monday, September 12, 2016:
All customers will receive product updates on Monday, September 12. There will be no downtime for the platform or documents during rollout.
Please note: release dates are subject to change.
How and when updates become available.
Some features in the release affect all users immediately after the release goes live. Other features require direct action by an administrator before users can benefit from the new functionality.
Please note: Customers will receive updates based on your current purchased plan.

We are excited to announce the general availability of our powerful new sales productivity platform. The Octiv Platform delivers powerful solutions to help sales professionals sell throughout each stage of the sales cycle. This means that some purchased plans will include more features than ever before to meet various business needs. Customers will not receive updates to their accounts automatically. Octiv ProfessionalCritical Update: Incoming and outgoing email address changes
This critical update changes the rules for all incoming and outgoing emails to come from octiv.com. Previously, all emails came from gettinderbox.com. Additionally, all emails will be updated to include the new look and feel of the octiv brand. Customers who have custom branded emails will not be affected by the branding change.

Octiv ProfessionalBranding UI updates for Octiv
The platform will be updated to incorporate the new look and feel of the Octiv brand. There are two notable updates. Firstly, all mentions of "TinderBox" will be changed to "Octiv." Secondly, all the colors and logos will be updated to the latest Octiv branding. The biggest benefit of our new branded user interface is that our application is now widely compatible and widely accessible to support the needs of individuals and groups with some type of disability (visual, cognitive, motor disabilities or limitations). The user interface of our application is now up to WCAG 2.0 (web content accessibility guidelines) standards and is Section 508 compliant.

We have updated the Public URL page to make it more friendly to people who aren't used to viewing Octiv documents. You'll notice that we have renamed the button to "view document." We have also added some help text above the first and last name fields.

Users can now search within My Documents for additional criteria like expired, recent, deleted, etc. by using the quick filters without having to perform an advanced search.

When searching through a large list of documents or assets, it can be difficult to see what search you’ve performed, or to further refine your search after you’ve scrolled. Now the scrollbar will stick to the top of your page as you scroll through content in the Document and Asset libraries. Quickly jump back into refining or viewing the search you’ve performed while scrolling through a list of documents or assets.

If you want to clean up your list of templates without deleting them, you now have the ability to archive. When you archive a template it gets moved to a separate filter called "Archived: true" where you can still access them at any time.

Octiv now offers the ability to create and edit tables in a presentation. Simply insert a table with a certain number of rows and columns. Users can also access advanced table editing functionality by right clicking on the table to resize it, merge cells, add styles, and more.

There will be a new version of the managed package that will switch all of the labels/text to Octiv. Salesforce Admins can choose to install the new package if they want the updated labels, but it is not required. Installing the new package does not impact any existing mappings or documents.

Sales Operations Managers can now easily view what types of documents are being used and accepted right from within Salesforce. This new available data allows sales operations managers and salesforce admins to report on what types of documents are being used by reps and which documents have been signed. There will be a new version of the Microsoft Dynamics Solution that will switch all of the labels/text to Octiv.
