Single Sign-On Integrations

Octiv supports the Secure Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 protocol, which enables easy integration with multiple identity and cloud SSO providers and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). SAML 2.0-based SSO functionality provides a means for systems to easily communicate and validate authentication and authorization data, such as usernames and passwords, between one user database (identity provider, or IDP) and another web-based application (service provider, or SP). This eliminates the need to maintain multiple user credentials for separate SaaS applications.

Key Capabilities:

  • Simplified User Onboarding
With just-in-time provisioning, administrators can auto-provision users in Octiv over SSO. When users log in with their SSO credentials, an account is automatically created for them, eliminating the need to manually create user accounts in Octiv
  • Increased Security
By providing seamless user authentication and authorization for the Octiv application, you can significantly increase the security of user access to data. Eliminate password fatigue and the risk of phishing
  • Better User Management:
Simplify account administration by allowing administrators to maintain user information, login credentials and role-based provisioning from one central directory of users and an authentication mechanism
  • Improved User Access
Eliminate the need for users to remember multiple usernames and passwords, and provide users with direct access to the Octiv application by using their existing network credentials
  • Increased User Productivity
With SSO, users no longer have to manually enter their credentials to log in separately to access each resource. Users can be automatically logged into Octiv using their login credential from an external identity service provider
