I’m thrilled to announce the news that Conga, the global leader in intelligent document automation, will acquire Octiv.
Who is Conga, and why the acquisition?
Conga® developed its suite of enterprise-grade Intelligent Document Automation solutions to help businesses optimize their CRM investments. The Conga Suite, which includes Conga ActionGrid, Conga Composer, Conga Contracts and Conga Sign, simplifies and automates data, documents, contracts, and eSignature.
This acquisition will extend Conga’s document generation and delivery functionality by providing the ability to create, collaborate, deliver, and manage web-based documents while measuring engagement throughout the lifecycle of a document.
Conga shares a similar vision to Octiv’s—to provide a flexible, true end-to-end intelligent document automation platform. The acquisition will allow us to leverage the knowledge and resources of each company to form a single solution for creating and managing next generation documents. But what does that mean for our customers, the Octiv team, and the Indianapolis community?
First and foremost, our customers remain our top focus throughout this transition. In our mission to provide exceptional customer service, Octiv has always valued our customer needs above all else, and we don’t plan to change this core aspect of our business. In fact, joining forces with Conga offers an exciting opportunity for our customers and our solution. This acquisition will provide even more ways for us to better serve our customers and optimize their business with access to a broader suite of solutions and additional innovation.
Conga’s history of world class support will be continued across Octiv to ensure speed to value, ease of deployment and customer success. With the newly-combined solutions, robust financial backing and targeted focus on sales execution, Conga is poised to lead in enterprise grade, sales process, and execution-focused tools. Through the combined company, our customers will have a single trusted partner to address their most significant sales process challenges. Additionally, the combined resources and alliances will allow for increased product innovation as well as even greater security and stability for our customers.

According to The Brookings Institution, our region ranks 15th on a list of tech job growth for the 100 largest metropolitan regions in the U.S. Additionally, Indianapolis was referred to as an ‘emerging tech hub on the move’ in 2016 by Forbes, while the New York Times noted in 2017 that we have ‘steadily become a center for new technology, particularly software.’
All of this points to Indianapolis as a thriving tech and software community, where the Octiv office will continue to grow and operate as it is integrated into the Conga brand.
